This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate an elevating work platform at any height.
This unit applies to those working in operational roles.

Course Requirements
Pre-requisites:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to speak, understand and write in basic English
- Must have or obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
What to bring:
- 100 points of Identification – Originals, not copies.
- Enclosed footwear.
- Safety Gloves
- A hat, water bottle and sunscreen.
- Hi-vis shirts are recommended but not mandatory – we have hi-vis vests you can use on site.
Course Outline
Each course is structured to deliver essential skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience, including:
- Module 1: Plan and prepare for operating an elevating work platform
- Module 2: Operate elevating work platform in line with established requirements to complete work activity
- Module 3: Conduct housekeeping activities
What You’ll Achieve
Upon completing this course, you will:
- You will receive a RIIHAN301E – Operate elevating work platform (For scissor Lifts of all sizes and Booms Under 11m) once you have been deemed competent, issued by Halo Nation Training (RTO No. 32485).
