Overview
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a vehicle loading crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) of 10 metre tonnes or more. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant. Vehicle loading crane means a crane mounted on a vehicle for loading and unloading the vehicle.

Course Requirements
Pre-requisites:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to speak, understand and write in basic English
- Must have or obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
What to bring:
- 100 points of Identification – Originals, not copies.
- Enclosed footwear.
- Safety Gloves
- A hat, water bottle and sunscreen.
- Hi-vis shirts are recommended but not mandatory – we have hi-vis vests you can use on site.
Course Outline
Each course is structured to deliver essential skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience, including:
- Module 1: Plan for the work/task
- Module 2: Prepare for the work/task
- Module 3: Perform work/task
- Module 4: Pack up
What You’ll Achieve
Upon completing this course, you will:
- You will receive a TLILIC0024 – Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (10 metre tonnes and above) once you have been deemed competent, issued by Halo Nation Training (RTO No. 32485).
