Overview
This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to conduct bulk water truck operations in the Coal and Metalliferous mining and Extractive.
This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors. Relevant information must be sourced prior to application of the unit.
Each course is structured to deliver essential skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience, including:
- Module 1: Plan and prepare for bulk water truck operations
- Module 2: Operate truck
- Module 3: Load, haul and distribute water
- Module 4: Carry out machine operator maintenance
- Module 5: Conduct housekeeping activities
Course Requirements
Pre-requisites:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to speak, understand and write in basic English
- Must have or obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
What to bring:
- 100 points of Identification – Originals, not copies.
- Enclosed footwear.
- Safety Gloves
- A hat, water bottle and sunscreen.
- Hi-vis shirts are recommended but not mandatory – we have hi-vis vests you can use on site.
What You’ll Achieve
Upon completing this course, you will:
- You will receive a RIIMPO206D – Conduct bulk water truck operations once you have been deemed competent, issued by PM SQUARED (RTO No. 41304).
