Course Requirements

Pre-requisites:

  1. Must be 18 years of age
  2. Must be able to speak, understand and write in basic English
  3. Must have or obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)

What to bring:

  • 100 points of Identification – Originals, not copies.
  • Enclosed footwear.
  • Safety Gloves
  • A hat, water bottle and sunscreen.
  • Hi-vis shirts are recommended but not mandatory – we have hi-vis vests you can use on site.

  • Module 1: Prepare for multi-combination vehicle operations
  • Module 2: Couple and uncouple trailers
  • Module 3: Conduct vehicle checks
  • Module 4: Supervise loading and unloading of goods and materials
  • Module 5: Steer, manoeuvre and position vehicle
  • Module 6: Manage engine power
  • Module 7: Monitor and anticipate traffic and road conditions
  • Module 8: Monitor vehicle efficiency
  • Module 9: Park and secure the vehicle
  • Module 10: Carry out post-operational activities
